The Mormon church leaders say those who leave are doing so because they are sinning. What are the real reasons members are leaving?

The real reason is simple, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who leave the Church is because they chose the world over Christ. They chose to be ungrateful to how much love and sacrifice Christ has done for them. They chose to believe in false gospels and doctrines, propogated by people with malicious and ill intent. It is all about how they utilize their free gift of agency, for the better or for the worse.

It could also be because of the many anti-LDS material that is out there, available on the internet, that tries to trick and deceive numerous members of the Church into believing doctrines that are too good to be true. Those who stand firm in their faith and held fast to the iron rod, remain and thrive in the Church and with God spiritually, while those who succumbed to such temptations are lost, hopefully temporarily.

I have heard of so many people leaving the Church, and it is really disheartening to know, and my heart grieved for them, knowing that they have chose to forsake Christ even when He will never forsake them, that they chose worldly desires and pleasures over their salvation. They chose to exchange their salvation with the luxuries and freedom of this world.

Talking about this just reminds me of Matthew 7:13–23, which says, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity".

This teaching that Christ has taught in the Bible means more than anything during these last days, and it is talking about the time that we are in right now. I really hope that whoever who reads this can know for themselves that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints welcome anyone, wherever you are from, and we would love to have you join us in Church on Sundays. To whoever who are considering leaving the Church, please don't, we just want you there with us. Please remember how the Lord had blessed and guided you throughout your mortal journey so far. I am open to answer questions and clear up some of your doubts. God bless!
