Do you believe there will be a sign foretelling the end of the world?

As a Christian who has studied Bible prophecy for almost 25 yrs. I know that if I didn’t know the Lord personally…and the accuracy of the prophetic value of His inspired word I would most likely find the answer I’m going to give you amusing at best…or crazy at worst. But, because I do know that God’s word is nearly 1/3 prophetic in value, with all prophecies except for those that are specified for the “end days” or “latter days” already being fulfilled, then I’ll share with you what God’s word says regardless of the fact that some that read it will think I’ve lost it. That’s ok with me though as I realized a long time that it’s better to appear to be a fool for Christ than it is to just be a fool and ignore the validity of the word of God.

As far as the literal “end of the world” is concerned we have a little over 1,007 years before God’s word says the final judgment will come [the Great White Throne Judgment from Rev. 20] and God will make all things new. A new heaven and a new earth and the “old order of things will no longer be remembered.” Before that final judgment though we have the fulfillment of the prophecy from Rev. 20 and Zechariah 14 and more that speak of Christ’s literal, physical rule over the nations from Jerusalem that lasts 1,000 years. That “Millennial Reign” prophesied throughout the Old Testament follows on the heels of the soon coming 7 yr. time of God’s judgment upon all those who have rejected His free gift of salvation through faith in His Son, Jesus. Some refer to that timeframe as the “tribulation” and it is called in Scripture the “70th week of Daniel”…”Jacob’s Trouble” and/or the time of “God’s wrath”. We get the 7 yr. timeframe from the prophecy found in Daniel 9:27 that references a false “peace covenant” that will be brokered by one Christians often refer to as the “Antichrist” between Israel and many nations. Scripture refers to this coming global leader as the “beast” …” lawless one” …and “son of perdition.” His identity will be revealed to those who know Scripture when he puts pen to paper confirming that deceptive 7-yr. peace treaty, and the tribulation timeclock will start ticking at that same moment. We know from Daniel the “tribulation” is 2,520 days, the same length of the covenant, but he will “break the covenant” 3.5 yrs. into it and will enter the newly rebuilt temple in Jerusalem and proclaim to be God himself revealing his true colors to those who are paying attention. It will also be at that same time when according to Revelation and Matthew two “supernatural” witnesses who have been preaching the gospel from Jerusalem for those first 3.5 yrs. of the tribulation will be killed by the Antichrist and will be raised to life and “caught up to heaven” in front of all who are watching. This very public “mini-rapture” makes me wonder if those who are left behind will be able to see all born-again believers when we are soon “raptured” prior to the start of the tribulation. Scripture doesn’t say if it will be visible or not. Many artists have painted the “rapture” as being seen by those who are being left behind [because they have rejected Christ] but again, Scripture doesn’t say. Either way I can’t imagine the trauma and horror of witnessing people disappear or being caught up into the clouds in the twinkling of an eye. I’ve tried to imagine what that will be like for almost as long as I’ve known the Lord, as I started studying Bible prophecy as a brand-new believer in 1996 and that is my favorite subject [aside from salvation] from God’s word to study and share. It is that knowledge and assurance of God’s prophecies being real, [even when we can’t comprehend them] that has motivated me to share about the “end days” since the late 90’s despite the mocking I’ve received even from those within the church, as many within the Christian church are clueless as to what God’s word says as they don’t study it and only hear it on Sunday mornings. And, as if that weren’t bad enough most churches don’t touch the subject of prophecy because it is too “controversial” and doesn’t make for a good sermon when you’re wanting to raise money for a building project etc.… Most are not willing to take the heat that comes with believing God’s word…and sharing it…and there is a verse in Matthew 24 that addresses those Pastors who are not giving their flocks the “proper food at the proper time” [referencing teaching the reality of end day prophecy when we’re IN the “end days”. I don’t imagine it will go well with them when they stand before the Lord and have to explain why they didn’t warn the world of what was coming or prepare their congregations to do the same. It is the reality of the sad state of the church. :(

The “parable of the fig tree” found in Matthew 24:32–34 that is referring to the restoration of Israel [the fig tree] as a nation [which occurred on May 14th,1948] assures us that the “generation” that witnessed Israel coming back to life would “not pass away” until all end day prophecies referenced in that chapter [from the rapture to the Second Coming of Christ at the end of the tribulation] would be fulfilled. We are 73 years into that prophetic “end day” generation and according to Psalm 90:10 a generation is from 70–80 years. Besides that, for those who are watching, tribulation prophecies are casting a shadow over the earth right now and I believe clearly the rapture is imminent. The prophecies from Revelation that speak of war, [Russia, Iran, Turkey, Sudan and Libya coming against Israel from Ezekiel 38 and 39], global inflation, famine, world war, pestilences, martyrdom, a “mark” that all will have to receive in order to “buy or sell” along with a global government and one world religion [from Rev. 6, 13, 14 and more], are all standing in their places on the world stage simply waiting for the curtain to open. The signing of that peace treaty throws open that curtain, and before that happens the church has to be removed from the earth. I don’t just say that because I want to be taken home before all hell literally breaks loose on the earth, but because Scripture is clear that is what happens.

If you want to know more about what God’s word has to say about what is soon coming, and how we can be certain that we are in the end days, and that we’re not going back to “normal” as so many are hoping, then I’ll link a prior q&a from my profile below that will give a lot more details and explanation of Scriptural prophecies that are about to be fulfilled. Including the certainty that the rapture precedes the tribulation. If not, I hope you’ll tuck this answer in the back of your mind for after the rapture. It’s coming. Soon. And those who are left behind will then find themselves entering the most horrific timeframe in the history of mankind. Trust me…if you don’t know or believe God’s word, I know this all sounds like craziness. If I didn’t know the Lord, I would think the same. But, as it is I’ve realized that God says what He means and means what He says, and whether we can wrap our brains around it or not is irrelevant. If He said it…He’ll do it. It really is just that simple.

Jesus is coming soon. Are you ready? I pray that you are, because although people can still give their lives to Christ after the rapture it will be too late to be rescued from the tribulation, and those who wait until then to receive Christ as Savior will then pay for their newfound faith with their very lives. The tolerance for Christians and Jews and any who refuse to worship the Antichrist will be nonexistent. They will all be martyred. That’s what God’s word says. :(

In Christ and ready to soon fly in the twinkling of an eye, dana

The question I received asked about Nostradamus, but the answer is about God’s word alone.
