As I was pondering on what I should share, it stood out to me ever so clearly that in order for me to better serve and minister unto His servants, I need to work on myself first, that I need to work on myself so much so that I may be better qualified to be a beacon of light unto the lives of men, following closely in the Savior's footsteps.

We read and ponder in this week's Come Follow Me passages, which centers heavily on the need to partake in the labor of love, to minister, to serve, and to love. I have written a few times of the need to serve, as well as the need for charity to be in the hearts of all men, particularly in hearts of all members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for there will come a time where the hearts of men shall wax cold. Therefore, I will not be repetitive in my words unto you all.

I would like to exhort you, including myself, to spend some time, examining ourselves, create opportunities for ourselves to strengthen our faith, testimony, and the divine knowledge of God. Sometimes, we lose ourselves in serving and ministering unto others during our free time, having most of our time preoccupied by work or by school, so much so that we forget about our personal spiritual development, so much so that we neglect it and remain stagnant in our faith. This ought not to be.

I have personally felt the effects of it, and it left me in a horrible state. This is why I wished to take a break from all my service and ministering, and start working on myself to a point whereby I can confidently minister and serve others according to their needs. I encourage those of you who are fatigued and tired because of the many demands of life, to take a breather. Of course, I'm not suggesting that we shouldn't serve or minister to those who need us or our help, but I'm simply suggesting that we lessen the load on our shoulders, and focus on those that are truly important, and the things that can enable us to better help others.

Think about it, if we neglect our time with God, how can can better serve and minister unto those who need our help? We need to take a breather, adjust ourselves and our mindsets, give more of our free time to spend with Heavenly Father, and examine our spiritual life and improve it. It is only now that I have come to understand this great truth.
